Johnny Depp And Angelina Jolie Scene Still Light Up Smokeless Cigarette Debate With The Tourist
Although 2010 is a fleeting memory, Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie’s train scene in The Tourist is still being touted as taking the smokeless cigarette marketing to new heights.
As Depp played an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart, he crosses paths with Elise played by Angelina Jolie. The two casually exchange banter on a train while Depp indulges in a smokeless cigarette, sparking rage among many anti-smoking viewers.
As a result of The Tourist displaying an electric cigarette within the film, electric cigarette sales have apparently skyrocketed.
With the prohibition of smoking in public places throughout most of the country, electronic cigarettes have become a viable option for smokers to get a quick fix without breaking any laws or exposing others to second hand smoke.
The jury is still out on the merits of electric cigarettes but there’s no getting around the fact that they’re likely not going anywhere for a very long time.
