Stacey Dash Endorses Romney as The ‘Only Choice for Your Future’ And Twitter Explodes
Popular American actress, Stacey Dash, who has starred in a variety of onscreen appearances including the 90?s hit Clueless and the popular CSI series, sparked a hail of racially charged tweets on Twitter shortly after she publicly endorsed Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
Dash wrote on her official Twitter page, accompanied by a photo of herself with an American flag, “Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future. @mittromney @teamromney #mittromney #VOTE #voteromney,”
Soon thereafter, presumed Obama supporters began slinging a variety of callus and racially charged insults directed towards Dash for voicing her opinion, claiming that she isn’t “black” enough with several requesting that the actress just “kill herself.”
Among the horrendous online attacks, one man wrote: “This hurts but you a Romney lover and you slutting yourself to the white man only proves why no black man married u @REALStaceyDash.”
However, as news of Dash’s treatment spread like wildfire, First Amendment-lovers nationwide quickly began voicing their support for the targeted actress using the hashtag #ISupportStaceyDash.
One particular supporter summed it up as a choice between Republican Utah congressional nominee Mia Love and Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke.
“#ISupportStaceyDash regardless of whether she gets a phone call form #Obama or not,” another wrote, highlighting the vast contrast between how quickly Fluke was contacted and supported after being called a “slut” for advocating taxpayer-funded birth control, compared to how quickly Republican Stacey Dash was dragged through the mud for failing to publicly show her support Obama in 2012 as many apparently expected of her.

Comparing the backlash, some racist and others simply ignorantly harsh, to Stacey Dash to the experience of Sandra Fluke. Is a misguided attempt to attack President Obama. The two experiences are not the same.
Fluke was a grad student assaulted by prominent republicans on the radio and t.v. for attempting to speak to a governmental committee about woman’s health. Dash on the other hand, came out in favor of Romney online for no apparent reason, and caught the ferver some angry African Americans and a lot of trolls.
If MSNBCs anchors aired segments ever night, calling her expressing the same sentiments that are being spewed online then maybe he’d owe her a call.
